Why Choose DTG?

Print complex artwork with unlimited colors, fine detail, and smooth fades—no extra color charges.

Soft Hand Feel

Water-based inks soak into the fibers for a breathable, comfortable print that moves with the garment.

No Minimums

Perfect for samples, one-offs, and small runs. Fast setup means quick turnarounds.

Eco-Mindful Inks

Pigment inks are water-based and produce less waste than traditional setup-heavy methods.

How DTG Works

From file upload to finished tee in four simple steps.

  1. 1

    Prepare Your Artwork

Send a high-resolution file (300 DPI), PNG with transparent background or layered PDF. Use sRGB color.

  2. 2

    Garment Pretreat (for darks)

Dark garments require a pretreat and a white underbase so colors pop. We handle this in-house.

  3. 3

    Direct Printing

The printer jets ink directly into the fabric for precise detail and smooth gradients.

  4. 4

    Heat Cure

We cure the print for wash durability. Allow 24 hours before first wash for best results.

File Prep Checklist

Follow these tips to get the cleanest possible print.

  • 300 DPI at final print size
  • PNG with transparency (or layered PDF/PSD)
  • Remove stray background pixels and artifacts
  • Avoid semi-transparent pixels on dark tees (they can look dusty)

Care Tips for DTG Prints

Simple care keeps colors bright and the print feeling soft.

  • Wait 24 hours before first wash
  • Wash inside-out, cold water, gentle cycle
  • Avoid bleach and fabric softeners
  • Tumble dry low or hang dry
  • Do not iron directly on the print

DTG FAQs

Quick answers to common questions.

What garments work best for DTG?

100% ringspun cotton yields the softest feel and brightest color. Cotton-rich blends also work well. Polyester-heavy fabrics can desaturate color.

Can you print on dark shirts?

Yes. We pretreat the fabric and lay down a white underbase so colors pop on dark garments.

How durable is DTG compared to screen printing?

DTG is very durable with proper care, especially on cotton, but heavy-wear workwear may still favor screen printing’s thicker ink deposit.

Are there setup fees or color limits?

No setup fees and no color limits. Pricing depends on print size and quantity only.
